Colorado Vail Area Dining
We celebrated the 4th of July weekend in Colorado, and besides our activities of ATVs, Rafting, Biking, Beaching, we also ate at some great restaurants. Here’s some pics and great summaries of where we went.
SNOOZE EATERY DENVER
First stop on our trip - the Original Snooze Eatery in Denver. Great choices for breakfast - Burrata & Prosciutto Toast, Snooze Burrito, and Monte Cristo. The food and atmosphere was great. They now have locations all over the country. Be sure to check it out. Avon was where we resided the next few days. https://www.snoozeeatery.com/
GASHOUSE RESTAURANT AND BAR EDWARDS
Gashouse Restaurant and Bar has been a culinary landmark for over 3 decades in Edwards, Colorado. Known for its steaks, seafood and wild game, plus its great patio and eclectic bar. We had the bison burger and the grilled elk tenderloin sandwich. This is a classic mountain area establishment which is worth a trip to visit. #gashouserestaurant #coloradodining https://gashouse-restaurant.com/
LOADED JOES VAIL
Loaded Joes provided a much needed refueling for our bike ride from Avon to Vail. Choices were varied for our crew - BLT, breakfast sandwich, Cubano sandwich and açaí bowls - something for everyone. We also loved the option of the caprese salad for a side. They have lots of speciality coffees, smoothies and cocktails as well. Locations are in Avon and Vail. The perfect stop. #loadedjoes #coloradodining https://www.loadedjoes.com/
NORTHSIDE KITCHEN AVON
Finding a location to feed our group of 13 for our final dinner was challenging. However Northside Kitchen was outstanding with both their service and food. Some of our meals were the salmon with strawberry chipotle sauce, lobster shrimp risotto, short rib dinner, linguini Alfredo with short ribs, prime cut egg rolls and kids meals of pasta and fruit. We had some fantastic Spanish wine recommended by the manager as well. Family to go meals are also available, as well as breakfast and a large assortment of donuts. This was a great way to end the trip. Thank you Northside for making it special. #northsidekitchenvail #coloradodining https://thenorthsidekitchen.com/
RIMINI CAFE BEAVER CREEK
There is no shortage of restaurants in the beautiful Beaver Creek area, however we make a quick stop into this cafe before heading up the mountain. Their gelato cases were decorated for a 4th of July competition - they were amazing and we shop they won. Their menu has many interesting items but we chose pretty simple ones - a breakfast sandwich, cinnamon roll and a breakfast crepe. However we would go back for some of their other crepes, Italian sandwiches, and definitely their gelatos. https://www.theriminicafe.com/
There are no shortages of places to eat in this area. Lots of independent restaurants to try out. But we couldn’t finish this post without some pictures of why you visit Colorado - especially in the summer when it is so beautiful and possible when its over 100 degrees in your hometown. Please feel free to leave any suggestions or comments of these or other places you would recommend.
