FALL NE TRIP BOSTON DINING 2022
This fall we took a 8 day trip to see Boston, Massachusetts and Portland, Maine, along with many stops in between. Below are the places we ate at, links to their sites and what we liked best. Enjoy
Boston:
Bell-In-Hand Tavern - oldest continuously run tavern in the US - established in 1795. Although we just had a drink here, it's a great place for drinks, lunch or dinner.
The Barking Crab - right next to our hotel. Great casual outdoor and indoor seating. We had oysters and a seafood platter of lobster tail, scallops and shrimp.
Scali Cafe - In the heart of the city. Simple sandwiches and lunch eats.
Bova Bakery Boston - We purchased some Italian goodies for dessert. This bakery is open 24 hours and is known for its Italian cookies, pies, cannolis and pastries.
Panza Restaurant - In the Italian North End of Boston. Small cute restaurant. Reservations recommended. We had the Butternut Squash Ravioli and the Seafood Pasta
Coop de Ville Shuck Shack - At Martha’s Vineyard. fun casual port bar noted for a place to watch soccer/futbol matches. Right by the ferry and the fun little town of Oak Bluffs. We had their clam chowder and a lobster roll.
Tatte Bakery and Cafe - A couple locations in Boston and DC. Great pastries, danishes and unique coffees.
Life Alive Organic Cafe - Very popular cafe near MIT and other locations in the area. Great combinations of organic dishes, bowls, salads and sandwiches. We had the butternut bisque and avocado toast, as well as the Avocado Sol salad.
The Black Rose Boston - Fun Irish Pub in the heart of Boston. Enjoyed chatting with the bartender (who was from Dublin, Ireland), and the other patrons. We had the Jameson Whiskey Wings and Fish and Chips, as well as a few Irish beverages.
This concluded the Boston part of our trip. Check out our dining page for Portland and the great places we dined at there, as well as our travel pages for both Boston and Portland.
