FALL NE TRIP PORTLAND MAINE DINING 2022
We took an 8 day trip to the Boston and Portland areas. This section shows where we ate in the Portland area. On our way to Portland we stopped at a couple places we enjoyed.
Lobster Shack at Perkins Cove - This stop was on our way to Portland. Ogunquit had a fun walk up shack on Perkins Cove. Very cute town and a beautiful walkway on the coast. We had our first lobster rolls of the trip here. In Kenny Bunkport we just had a drink but there are so many cute places to eat here. After Ogunquit we went to Kenney Bunkport and although we did not eat here, we did have a drink at one of the many great restaurants in the area.
Boone’s Fish House & Oyster Room - Our first night in Portland we ate here. Nice restaurant on the wharf with great outside seating. We had the scallops w/bacon which were great and the lobster mac and cheese which was also good.
The Porthole - Casual restaurant on the wharf in Portland also with lots of outside seating. We had lobster and crab cakes, oysters and the Haddock sandwich.
Old Port Sea Grill - Nicer restaurant across the wharf and one of the best meals that we had. Our meal consisted of great clam chowder, Bangs Island mussels, pan seared scallops with a saffron mint risotto and finished with a flourless chocolate torte.
In Bar Harbor we had breakfast at Paddy’s Irish Pub which had a beautiful view of the harbor.
The Standard Baking Company - small boutique bakery known for its pastries and danishes. The line is out the door every morning which we could see from our hotel window. And the pastries did not disappoint. Very good.
Salt Water Grille - This restaurant is actually across the bay from Portland and our last stop on the way to the airport. We had their calamari, which was very good, and our final lobster roll of the trip.
This concluded our trip. There are so many other wonderful places to dine in both Portland and Boston. Check out our Boston page for where we dined there. And also check out our travel page for all the places we visited.
